John Rowles show @ Kedron Wavell Services CLub

On Friday March 7th I went to Kedron Wavell Services Club to see New Zealand singer John Rowles and it was my 2nd time seeing him as my first time was @ Kedron Wavell Services with Mum on May 20th 2011. I caught the bus from Cannon Hill to Chermside and walked to Kedron Wavell which I had Nachos for dinner and a Chocolate Sundae. Went up to the Blue Pacific Room, bought a double CD of John Rowles called If I Only Had Time and had a conversation with some people on the table I was sitting at. The show started @ 8.40pm with John Rowles wearing a suit and for the next 1 hour and 45 minutes he did just the 1 set doing his classic hits as well as other people's songs as telling stories and having a great humor and also wearing a hat during 1 song and as well as playing guitar in the set too. The show finished at about 10.25pm and he had the CD on sale after the show which he came out to sign as well as getting photos with the fans which I got my Cd signed and a photo with him and also Dad picked me up which I went home. It was a FANTASTIC show which everyone had a great time and he sounded great as he had not performed in Australia since 2012 as he was going to stop performing but he is back as well as the place being packed which he gave a lady a rose towards the end of the show as well as some of the ladies were on the dance floor when he did the song Ten Guitar and also I look forward to see him again which to those who have not seen him go and see him which you will enjoy it. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

This is the book about 2 iconic Australian music shows that were on Channel 0 (now Channel 10)back in the 60's The Go Show on August 4th 1964 which lasted for 3 years and 222 episodes until September 17th 1967 and Kommotion hosted by Ken Sparkes was on from December 13th 1965 until September 28th 1967 after 356 episodes and in the book it has the info about both shows as well as episode guides as well the discography of both the Go label and the Kommotion label and the people who worked on Kommotion including Denise Drysdale and Molly Meldrum and many others including some memorabilla and photos of the artists.
