Brian Cadd show @ Kedron Wavell

On Thursday November 20th I went to Kedron Wavell to see legendary Australian singer-songwriter Brian Cadd which it was the 6th time seeing him and had not seen him since Friday November 18th 2011 with Russell Morris. I caught a bus from Cannon Hill to Chermside and walked to Kedron Wavell which I had Beef Nachos for dinner as well as having an Chocolate Sundae for desert as well as seeing mt friend Karlotta who was not going to the show that night. Went up to the Blue Pacific Room, write notes and had a look at the Brian Cadd book i bought 4 years ago. The show started at about 8.10pm with singer Paul Cartwright being an support act which he did a set of classic songs from the 50's 60's and 70's and he was really good as well as singing well too and there was an interval which I had a drink of water. Then Brian Cadd came on stage and for the next hour and 25 minutes he performed many of his hits from the 60's and 70's including 2 with the Groop as well as 2 with Axiom and his solo stuff as well as a few new songs and bit of Rolling Stones as well as telling some stories as well as having an great sense of humor as well as telling some stories and among the musicians he had in his band was Doug Lavery(ex Axiom) and Tony Naylor (The Bootleg Family Band). The show finished @ 10.35pm which he came out to sign autographs as he was selling an CD and his book which I bought the CD which he signed the CD and the book but did'nt get a photo due to timing as Dad was waiting outside and I came home. It was an FANTASTIC show which everyone had a great time including myself and Brian still sounds great and playing great at the age of 68(he will be that tomorrow November 29th) and also saw Mark, Leigh and her mum Jillian. I look forward to see Brian Cadd again soon and to those who have not seen him do yourself a favour and see him as he puts on an FANTASTIC show doing the songs which will bring back memories for those who grew up in the 60's and 70's as well as those who were not born in that era but who has an interest in that era you shall enjoy the experience of seeing an true legend of Australian music.
