Jo Jo Falcon and the Falcons Screaming Targets
Screaming Targets was the 3rd album for Australian group Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons which was released in 1979 but it was their first for Mushroom Records as they recorded 2 albums for Oz Records and it was produced by Peter Jolley who was an latter member of legendary English rock group Procol Harum which it was from the album that it 2 hit singles Hit and Run and the Shape I'm In and also this album is out on CD now. On this reissued album besides from the original tracks it has non LP singles, live tracks from the Live at the Sentimental Bloke and Bombay Rock albums and on the second CD it has nearly 80 minutes of songs both studio and live which had been recorded from 1976 onwards but never released. It is AWESOME and BRILLIANT and it ROCKS with great songs which holds so well and still sounds great as well as enduring to this day. David Laing did the liner notes with Jen Jewel Brown and Warren Barnett and Toby Learmont did the digitally remastering. Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons was the group that launched the career of Joe Camilleri who would go on to great success with the Black Sorrows and the group had also Gary Young(ex ROndells and Daddy Cool), Wilbur Wilde(Ol'55) etc and also this remastered album is a must for Australian music fans of the 70's as well as Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons fans. I am giving this 5 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
