Girl Talk Lesley Gore
Girl Talk is an album by legendary American singer Lesley Gore that was released in October 1964 which went to number 146 on the US album charts and it was produced by Quincy Jones which from that album it had 2 top 40 singles Maybe I Know and Look Of Love and an double sided top 100 hit Hey Now and Sometimes I Wish I Was A Boy and also it is now out on CD. On this remastered album besides from the original 12 tracks from the album it has 13 bonus tracks which it was recorded between 1963 and 1965 and it included 3 songs that were in Hollywood with arranger Jack Nitzsche as well as 4 songs that first surfaced from the vaults at Mercury in 1994. It is an excellent and an FANTASTIC CD with great songs which holds up very well to this day and it sounds just great too as well as being entertaining and enjoyable. Sheila Burgel did the liner notes which Lesley Gore was interviewed, Mick Patrick did the compiling and Nick Robbins did the mastering @ SOund Mastering Ltd as it has been released on the Ace Label. It is 51 years when Lesley Gore emerged on the music scene with It's My Party and is still touring and recording after all these years. This CD is a must for Lesley Gore fans as well as 60's music fans and I am giving this 4 stars which it;s in the shops now do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
