A Stray Cat Struts by Slim Jim Phantom
A Stray Cat Struts is the autobiography of drummer and founding member of legendary rock and roll group the Stray Cats Slim Jim Phantom. In this book he talks about getting into music as he took drumming lessons from legendary drummer Mousie Alexander, meeting Lee Rocker and Brian Sezter which they formed an band called Brian and the Tomcats who would become the Stray Cats, going to England where they recorded and would have achieve great success with hits like Rock This Town, Stray Cat Struts, Runaway Boys etc, his marriage to actress Britt Ekland which they have a son, working with the Rolling Stones, INXS, Lemmy of Motorhead, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, the Clash and many others. It's an FANTASTIC and an AWESOME book with AWESOME stories told by Jim which I enjoyed it very much. Slim Jim is still touring and he is coming to Australia in May which he will be performing at the Blues on Broadbeach in May as well as a show at Tewantin RSL and the Stray Cats have not performed since 2009 but their music is still played to this day as well as having an impact on rockabilly as well as influence to this day to many rockabilly musicians. This book is an must for rockailly fans as well as fans of the Stray Cats which I give it 4 and an half stars and it's still in the shops somewhere so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which I'm sure you will this book and be impressed by it.
