Working Class Boy Jimmy Barnes
Working Class Boy is the autobiography of Legendary Australian singer Jimmy Barnes. In this book he talks about his upbringing in Scotland as James Dixon Swan, emigrating to Australia in 1962 with his parents and Siblings, settling in the tough Northern Suburbs of Adelaide, scrambling through as the family would go through dwindling money, alcohol and fraying tempers which gave way to violence and Despair as well as his parents splitting up, his mother's marriage to Reg Barnes, getting into music, joining an band who would become Cold Chisel and Many others. It's an AWESOME,SUPERB and an FANTASTIC book with AWESOME stories by Jimmy Barnes and his is still going strong as he is still recording and touring as well as having done the spoken word tour around Australia based on this book and also is about to the regional areas this year. This book went to number 1 in Australia on the book charts and it's a must for Australian music fans as well as fans of Jimmy Barnes as well as Cold Chisel fans which I give this 5 stars as it's still in the shops so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT.
