This is from the Telegraph may 5th 1965 and this was the 4BK Top 10 with Hermans Hermits at number 1 with the double sided Can't You Hear My Heartbeat written by John Carter and Ken Lewis who were from the English group the Ivy League and Silhouettes which was a cover of the Rays song from 1957, Petula CLark at number 2 with the song written by Tony Hatch I Know A Place which later won an Grammy that year for Best Contemporary (R&R) Vocal Performance of 1965 Female, The Beatles at number 3 with their version of the Chuck Berry song Rock and Roll Music which was from the Beatles For Sale album, The Seekers at number 4 with the song written by Tom Springfield I'll Never Find Another You, The Rolling Stones at number 5 with the Last Time, Roger Miller at number 6 with King Of The Road which would 5 Grammys the following year, Tom Jones who has just toured Australia at number 7 with the song intended to be for British singer Sandie Shaw It's Not Unusual, Gene Pitney at number 8 with the double sided I Must Be Seeing Things and Marianne, Vic Dana at number 9 with Red Roses For A Blue Lady and Marianne Faithfull at number 10 with the song written by Jackie DeShannon Come and Stay With Me. Mentioning the Seekers A World of Our Own which was the follow up was released at that time in May 1965 and it was the end of May that The Seekers toured Australia with the Dave Clark Five, Tommy Quickly and Bobby and Laurie who was in the charts with I Belong With You that would include Brisbane at the Festival Hall June 3rd 1965 which the local acts on that show were Toni McCann and The Escorts.
