Cliff Richard at the Brisbane Exhibition and Convention Centre
Last night I went to the Brisbane Exhibition and Convention Centre to see the iconic British music legendary Cliff Richard which it was my 3rd time seeing him as the first was at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre Saturday February 21st 1998 with my friend Steven, his Mum Glenda, His Uncle Colin and his Aunty Nadia and the 2nd was at the Convention Centre Sunday February 3rd 2013. Dad took me to the bus stop, caught the bus to South bank, went to the Plough Inn where I had Chicken Parmy, chips and Salad for dinner, Drank Pepsi max and walk to the Convention Centre. Bought program and Bag and went inside. The show started after 7pm with Cliff Richard coming on stage wearing back suit and tie which in the first set did his hits from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's starting off with the song that launched him Move It as well as classics including Dreamin, the Minute You're Gone, Living Doll, Please Don't Tease and Summer Holiday which he told some stories about the songs including playing on Apache by the Shadows when he was asked to play on it as well as mentioning Alan Tarney who wrote some of his 80's hits before finishing the 1st set with the Gene Vincent song Be Bop A Lula and there was an interval which I ate Blueberry Muffin and Drank Pepsi Max and went back inside. The Second set started with his 1981 hit Wired For Sound as well as doing Do You Wanna Dance, Bachelor Boy, Daddy's Home, his Christmas hits including Mistletoe and Wine, Devil Woman and We Don't Talk Anymore which he told some more stories including Bobby Freeman who did the original version of Do You Wanna Dance in 1958 said in a interview that he liked Cliff's version as well as talking about when they were doing the Summer Holiday movie the director asked Cliff and Shadows member Bruce Welch to write a song as well as mentioning Elton John who helped getting 2 of his songs be hits in America. The show finished after 9.20pm, walk to the bus stop, caught bus to Carindale, Dad picked me up and came home. It was FANTASTIC and AWESOME as well as entertaining which he is still singing great at the age of 85 as well as entertaining the audience giving them a show which each song was applauded as everyone remember those songs which they sang along and clapped to them. The band who backed up were AWESOME with the Fantastic musicians playing including Bobby on lead guitar which his guitar was AWESOME and Brilliant and the 2 guys doing the backing vocals with Cliff sounded great too. I had a great time seeing Cliff and was just as great last night as he did the first 2 times which I am so glad that I got to see Cliff again which if this is going to the be last time he'll come back to Australia I would like to say that he has given pleasure and entertaining the audiences with his music over the years which it is something that I along with other Cliff Richard fans in Australia will never forget as well treasure those time. Thank You for Coming Sir Cliff.
