Wicked For Good

This afternoon I went to the Dendy Cinema Coorparoo where I went to see the sequel to the musical Wicked Wicked For Good. In OZ the people are celebrating the opening of the Yellow Brick Road Glinda (Adriane Grande) who is the spokesperson is engaged to Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) but who still has feelings for Elphaba known as the Wicked Witch of The West (Cynthia Ervio) who is hiding out as she wants to expose the Wizard(Jeff Goldblum), Nessarose(Marissa Bode) who is Elphaba's sister is now the Governor of Munchkinland forbids the Munchkins ot travel and has feelings for Boq(Ethan Slater) but he still had feelings for Glinda but is turned to the Tin Man, Fiyero and Elphaba have feelings for each other and then it gets very interesting. It is FANTASTIC, impressive and very entertaining with great acting by Adriane Grande, Cynthia Ervio, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode and Jonathan Bailey. It is directed by Jon M Chu and produced by Marc Platt and David Stone. I give it 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

Memoirs of A Piano Man by John Charter

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
