This is the authorised biography of former Queensland Governor and Australian Governor General Quinten Bryce and in this book it talks about her upbringing in Ilfracombe an Western Queensland bushtown as well as Trevallyn in Tasmania, Brisbane in the suburb of Belmont and Tenterfield NSW, studied at Queensland University, becoming one of the first women admitted to the Queensland Bar, her marriage to Michael Bryce which would last 57 years until his passing in 2021 which they would have 5 children, living in London in the 60's, did teaching at University of Queensland law school, doing among things the National Women's Advisory Council, Sex Discrimination Commissioner and National Childcare Accreditation Council, becoming Governor of Queensland from 2003 to 2008 and Governor General of Australia from 2008-14, encounters with Nelson Mandela, Gough Whitlam, Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Anne and many others. It is AMAZING, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT stories as well as very impressive and very entertaining and it is well worth a read. Juliet Rieden is a journalist, auhor, Magazine editor, book reviewer and royal correspondent who had worked for the Australian Women's Weekly as well as written books including The Writing On The Wall. This is a must for those who are into Queensland history and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves a favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
