Red(My Uncensored Life In Rock) by Sammy Hagar

Red My Uncensored Life In Rock) is the autobiography by American rock singer Sammy Hagar of Montrose and Van halen. In this book he tells about his upbringing in California, playing in local bands and writing songs about the things that he loved fast cars, loud parties and lots of good times. Having been in 2 successful bands Montrose from 1973-75 and Van Halen having replaced David lee Roth in 1985 until 1996 which he tells about the tensions with Eddie van halen, the stadium tours, the divided friendships and his controversial exit from the band. After leaving the group Sammy went into another direction which he went into the Tequlia business and creating Cabo Wabo one of the most successful tequlia brands in the world. He still performs with his bands Chickenfoot and the Waboritas and reunited with van halen from 2003-05. it's an excellent book and Sammy tells a lot of great stories in this book which Joel Selvin who had written an book called The Summer Of Love and other books about pop music co wrote this book and Michael Anthony(his bandmate from van Halen) does the foreword in this book. It's an must for any music fan of the 80's as well as fans of both Montrose and Van halen and I give this 4 and a half stars which it's in the shops now
