Australia's maltese Falcon is the documentary about legendary Australian singer-songwriter and musician Joe Camilleri which it's on DVD. In this DVD Joe talks about coming to Australia from malta with his family at the age of 2, growing up in Melbourne, getting into music which he joined bands like the Drollies, the King Bees and Adderley Smith Blues band as well as the Pelaco brothers, forming 2 successful bands Jo jo Zep and the Falcons and the Black Sorrows, an insight in the studio of the making of an triple album which became Crooked Little Thoughts, his personal life and others. It's an BRILLIANT and an EXCELLENT DVD with great stories told by Joe himself as well as interviews with musicians like Stephen Commings, Ross Wilson, Gary Young, Wilbur Wilde, Vika and Linda, Nicky Bomba,Joe Creighton, tony Fahese, actress/singer Jane Clifton, Michael Gudinski of Mushroom Records, Joe's brothers Frank and pete and others. it was produced by Fiona Cochrane who also directed it, Zbigniew Friedrich was the cinematographer and Editor and on sound were Craig Carter, Michael Letho and Robbie MacKenzie. it's an must for any Australian music fans as well as fans of both Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons and the Black Sorrows and I am giving this 5 stars which it's in the shops now.
