Class of 69 show @ QPAC Concert Hall

On Friday November 23rd I went to QPAC Concert Hall to see Class of 69 which it's an tribute to the ladies of 60's and this featured legendary Australian singer Little Pattie which it was my 7th time seeing her live. I caught the bus to South Brisbane which I got the QPAC @ about 7pm, bought an poster and an CD of Bec Laughton, had an drink of water, went inside and waited. the show started @ 8pm with Little Pattie came on stage and for the more 40 minutes doing an set of classic songs from the 60's as well as 2 of her famous hits from the 60's He's My Blonde Headed Stompie Wompie Real Gone Surfer Boy and Stompin At maroubra and also told some stories of her career. There was an interval which I had an drink of water and the second set with the Class Of 69 performers coming on stage which were- Bec Laughton (Dusty Springfield), Evelyn Duprai(Diana Ross), Naomi Price (petula Clark) and Tyla Beertolli(Lesley Gore) and they were introduced by Little Pattie and the 4 girls did each of the famous songs of the 60's which each of the acts sang some of the songs and all sounded just great and also towards the end of the show Little Pattie came back on stage to sing 3 more songs. the show finished about 10.15pm and after the show the performers came out to sign autographs and have photos which I got autographs and photos with Little Pattie, Tyla, Bec,Evelyn and Naomi and I saw Pauline and met Robyn and Haylee. the show was FANTASTIC which i had an great time, Little pattie still sounds great and sang great, Tyla, bec,Namoi and Evelyn sounded great as well and singing great too and the back up band were FANTASTIC as well. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

This is the book about 2 iconic Australian music shows that were on Channel 0 (now Channel 10)back in the 60's The Go Show on August 4th 1964 which lasted for 3 years and 222 episodes until September 17th 1967 and Kommotion hosted by Ken Sparkes was on from December 13th 1965 until September 28th 1967 after 356 episodes and in the book it has the info about both shows as well as episode guides as well the discography of both the Go label and the Kommotion label and the people who worked on Kommotion including Denise Drysdale and Molly Meldrum and many others including some memorabilla and photos of the artists. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME stuff and amazing information about the Go Show which just celebrated 60 years an month ago and Kommotion as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth an read.
