The Magical Mystery Tour movie by the Beatles was filmed from 11 September-September 25th 1967 which was an idea by Paul McCartney and it was filmed in Kent at an airfield RAF West Mailing, West Country England which included Devon and Cornwall, raymond revuebar an stripclub in London and Nice France where the clip for the song Fool On The Hill was filmed and also the main inspiration was that Paul McCartney had been creating home movies prior to the filming. Besides from the Beatles the others were Victor Spinetti who had appeared with the Beatles in A Hard Day's Night and Help,Jessie Robbins played Ringo's aunty, Buster Bloodvessel (Ivor Cutler) and others including British group the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band. the movie was shown on the BBC on Boxing Day 1967 @ 8.35pm which it was in black and white even though was in color and was poorly recieved by critics and fans but was shown in cinemas in the USA in 1974 and also just recently was shown in some cinemas worldwide. The movie is here on DVD. It's an AWESOME and BRILLIANT DVD which it's looks just great and funny which there were funny scenes like John Lennon putting the pasta on aunt Jessie's plate and the music is just FANTASTIC on it which includes Fool on the Hill, the title track, I am The Walrus and others. The special features are just BRILLIANT which includes an commentary by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr talking about his acting, some scenes that were never in the film including an performance by Traffic, an clip of Hello Goodbye on Top Of the Pops and others. It's nearly 45 years since it came out and it's just great to this on DVD which it's must for any Beatles fans as well as 60's music fans. I give this 5 stars and it's in the shops now so we can go on the ride.
