The Seekers The Golden Jubilee Album

It's 50 years on December 3rd this year when local jazz singer Judith Durham starting her new job at the J Walter Thompson Agency where she met an accountant executive named Athol Guy who invited her to sing with his friends Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley in an group called the Seekers and began performing together at an coffee lounge in Toorak, Melbourne called the Treble CLef and the rest is Australian music history after that. To commemorative their 50th anniversary the seekers has released an new double greatest hits CD which has the classic hits from as well as album tracks and songs they did in the 90's and 2000's and also 2 new songs In My Life(the Beatles song) and Silver threads and Golden Needles(the Springfields song which included Dusty Springfield and her brother Tom who wrote the hits for the Seekers). It's an BRILLIANT and EXCELLENT double CD with great songs which still endures after all those years and the 2 new songs are just BRILLIANT with the unique Seekers sound with Judith's brilliant voice. It's hard to believe that it's 50 years when the group were formed and the success that they achieved back in the 60's is amazing with all those songs I'll Never Find Another You, A World Of Our Own, The CArnival Is Over, Georgy Girl and others and also one of the few groups from the 60's that has all original members still alive as well as still touching the hearts and soul of fans all over the world. This is an must for Australian music fans as well as seekers fans as well as 60's music fans all over the world and I am giving this 5 stars which it's in the shops now
