The Farewell

This afternoon I went to the Balmoral Cinema to see the movie The Farewell. Bili Wang (Awkwafina) an Chinese born American raised who lives in New York has been in touch with her grandmother Nai Nai (Zhao Shuhzen) as well as been rejected for a fellowship and discovers from her parents Haiyan(Tzi Ma) and Jian(Diana Lin) that Nai Nai has got terminal lung cancer and got 3 months to live they go over to China to see her but they cannot tell her about her illness which they make an excuse that they are going for a wedding as well as getting the family together and they go over there which Bili is reluctant to go there initially but goes there and also learns that a lot to celebrate including rediscover the country she left as an child as well as her grandmother's wondrous and it gets interesting. It's FANTASTIC and very entertaining with funny and sad moments with top and excellent acting by Awkwafina, Tzi Ma, Diana Lin, Zhao Shuhzen, Lu Hong and Jiang Yongbo and it's directed by Lulu Wang who did the screenplay and produced it with Daniele Melia, Peter Saraf, Marc Turtletaub, Andrew Miano, Chris Weitz, Jane Zheng and Anita Gou and it also based on an actual lie from her experience with her grandmother's illness. I give it 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and see it when you will be amazed and entertained .
