This is the autobiography of Australian actress Maggie Kirkpatrick and in this book she talks about her upbringing in Newcastle, starting work in the Theatre in the early 60's, her marriage to Norman Kirkpatrick which they had an daughter Caitlin, her time on the legendary Australian TV show Prisoner playing the role of Joan Ferguson aka The Freak, working with people like Sir Michael Redgrave, Rod Taylor, Susannah York, Noel Ferrier, Jackie Weaver and many others, meeting performers like Sammy Davis Jnr and Bill Cosby, her legal battle and many others. It's FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC, Entertaining and Impressive stories told by one of the great actresses of Australian entertainment which Maggie takes us on this journey reminding us that there's been more to her than just being Joan Ferguson and tells it with great honesty. It's been 40 years since Prisoner started as well as 33 years since it finished but it is still watched after all these years and Maggie is still around which she did TV shows in 2017 and last year The Letdown, Sando and The Bureau of Magical Things. This is an must of Australian TV fans as well as Prisoner fans and I give it 5 stars as It's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you'll be impressed and entertained.
