Sonic Life by Thurston Moore

This is the memoir of legendary American musician and founding member of the icon American rock band Sonic Youth Thurston Moore and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Florida, getting his first guitar, moving to Connecticut, losing his father in 1976, going to New York in 1978 where he would see bands like the Ramones, Twisted Sister and DNA, the music scene in New York in the late 70's, playing in the Coachmen, forming the band Sonic Youth in 1981 which would achieve great success with albums like Washing Machine, Dirty, Goo and A Thousand Leaves, encounters with Neil Young, Nirvana, The Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and REM, his marriage to member Kim Gordon which they have a daughter Coco and many others. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME stories as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth an read and Thurston has an show in Belgium coming up on October 1st. This is an must for 80's music fans as well as Sonic Youth fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
