4BC Top 40 charts July 1971

This is from the Telegraph July 30th 1971 and this is the 4BC Top 40 charts with Daddy Cool at number 1 with Eagle Rock/Bom Bom, Russell Morris at number 2 with Sweet Sweet Love, Susaye Raye at number 3 with LA Interntaional Airport and the boys from Redcliffe the Bee Gees at number 4 with How Can You Mend A Broken Heart which was from the Trafalgar album. The new entries in the chart that week were Sherbet with their version of the Blue Mink song Can You Feel It Baby at number 33, Former Monkees member Davy Jones at number 34 with Rainy Jane, Blackfeather at number 35 with Seasons Of Change and Dawn including Tony Orlando at number 37 with Summer Sand and besides from Daddy Cool, Russell Morris, Sherbet and Blackfeather the other Australian acts in the charts that week were Helen Reddy at number 7 with I Don't Know How To Love Him, The New Dream at number 13 with Soft Delights, Chain at number 16 with Black and Blue which was from the Towards The Blues album and Tin Tin including Steve Kipner at number 32 with Toast and Marmalade For Tea which produced by Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees. It was that month on the 10th that the Bee Gees played at Festival Hall as part of their Australian tour which was their first Australian shows since leaving in 1967.
