On June 15th 1983 The album Escapade by Tim Finn who was an member of the Iconic New Zealand band Split Enz as this was his first solo album was released and it went to number 1 in New Zealand and number 8 in Australia. From the album it had the 2 hit singles Fraction Too Much Friction and Made My Day and it was produced by Ricky Faatar who played in the Flames and the Beach Boys in the 70's and Mark Moffatt as well as among the musicians who played were Joe Camilleri, Wilbur Wilde, Vince Gill and Richard Tee. The album is now out on CD which it has all the original tracks that was on the album and there in no bonus tracks on the CD. It is FANTASTIC with FANTASTIC songs that has stood the test of time and it's still sounding great to this day as great songs endure as it lives on which it's an great thing. In February 1982 the album The Great Escape by Australian singer-songwriter Richard Clapton was released which went to number 8 in Australia and from the album had the 2 hit singles I Am An Island and Spellbound as well as an 3rd single The Best Years Of Our Lives. Among the other tracks on the album including an version of the Crickets song which was an hit for the Bobby Fuller Song in 1966 with I Fought The Law and it was produced by Mark Opitz who had worked with the Angels, AC/DC, cold Chisel and Swanee as it was Richard Clapton's recording with WEA and also among the musicians playing on the album including Harvey James from Sherbet, Gary Garry Beers and Andrew Farris from INXS and Graham "Buzz" Bidstrup from the Angels and Ganggajang. The album is out on CD now again and besides from the original tracks that was on the album there is 5 bonus tracks including Calling For You and Love Is Strong. In October 1977 the album Goodbye Tiger by Australian singer-songwriter Richard Clapton which was his 4th album and it went to number 11 in Australia as it was his album for Infinity which was connected with Festival Records as well as being produced by Richard Batchens. From the album had the hit singles Deep Water and Down In The Lucky Country and among the musicians playing on the album were Tony Buchannan on Saxophone, Kirk Lorange on lead guitar, Michael Hegerty from Stars and Jim Penson on drums. This is from the Wynnum Herald August 30th 1961 and known for being an music station 4KQ which ended June 30th 2022 after 75 years on the air was also known for many years use to do Talent Quest which I already mentioned the Bee Gees doing one in 1959 which they didn't win which on this article there was an Talent Quest for 4KQ that was held at the Municipal Library Hall on Monday October 2nd 1961 and it featured quiz experts as well as local artists and there was an dance that followed. Auditions was held September 27th 1961.

In November 1973 Australian singer-songwriter Richard Clapton released his debut album Prussian Blue which had 3 singles Last Train to Marseills, All The Prodigal Children and I Wanna Be A Survivor and among the musicians that played on the album were Mike Lawler who was from the R'Jays who backed up Dig Richards and the Rajahs, Kevin Borich, Keith Barber, Ronnie Peel, John Du Bois from the Dingoes. The album was produced by Richard Batchens who worked with Sherbet as well as Blackfeather and the album never charted but it is now out on CD. Besides from the original album tracks there is 4 bonus tracks including Goodbye Barbara Ann and The Ghost Train. It is FANTASTIC with FANTASTIC songs which sounds great and holds up very well to this day which the sound quality is FANTASTIC. It is great to see Australian albums from the 70's coming out on CD again and let's hope for more in the future. This is an must for Richard Clapton fans and I am giving this 4 stars as it'

Memphis Elvis Presley

This is the new 5 CD boxed set of Elvis Presley and it has recordings he did in Memphis that starts with Sun Records in 1954, the recordings he did in 1969 at American Sound Studios, the recordings at Stax in 1973, the live recording at the Mid-South Coliseum in 1974 and the recordings he did at Graceland in 1976 and music historian Robert Gordon doing the liner notes. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT songs that holds up very well to this day which the sound is FANTASTIC. Produced by Ernst Jorgensen who is an authority on Elvis and Grammy award winner Matt Ross Sprang did the mixing on the rest of the tracks except the Sun Recordings which he did it brilliantly. It is 70 years when Elvis recorded That's Alright Mama as well as being 47 years since his passing and the great music he made lives on forever as great music never dies it's just gets appreciated after all those years. This is an must for Elvis Presley fans and I give it 5 stars as it&

Tom Burlinson and Still Swingin Show @ Kedron Wavell

Last night I went to Kedron Wavell to see Australian actor and singer Tom Burlinson doing the Still Swingin show which it was my first time seeing him. I caught the bus to Chermside, went to Kedron Wavell, went to the Kitchen, rang Dad, ordered my meal, bought Coke With No Sugar, use mobile and waited. Had steak, chips and salad for dinner, drank coke with No Sugar, waited for my Fundae which I did not get even though I said that to one of the staff members, went to the Blue Pacific Room and use mobile. The shoe started at 8.06pm with Tom Burlinson backed up by an 12 piece band coming on stage wearing an suit and tie performing songs by Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin and Michael Buble as well as telling info about the acts as well as the songs and even telling some of his experiences about the songs as well as an encounter with an fan in Sydney as well as being in Perth when he forgot to do an song he was supoosed to do. Good Old Days of Rock and Roll Show @ Redlands Performing Arts Centre

Last night I went to the Good Old Days of Rock and Roll show @ the Redlands Performing Arts Centre that had legendary Australian music legends Little Pattie, Jade Hurley, Lucky Starr and Digger Revell and New Zealand music legend Dinah Lee which it was my second time seeing the show as I saw it @ QPAC on Sunday June 4th last year. I caught the bus to Cleveland, went to the Cleveland Sands hotel, rang Dad, had Nachos for dinner, drank Coke with No Sugar,ate Chocolate Brownie, paid my meal and walk to the Redland Performing Arts Centre. Saw Leigh and her mom Jillane whom I had not seen actually spoken to since about 5 years ago but saw them by sight at the Koala Tavern a year ago when Ross Wilson was performing, bought an CD and poster which was already signed by the performers as they wouldn't come out after the show as they had been sick as I heard a lady telling someone who asking about it, went inside, took a photo and waited. Oh What A Night Tribute show @ Kedron Wavell

Yesterday afternoon I went to Kedron Wavell to see the tribute show to the Four Seasons the iconic American singing group Oh What A Night which was my 3rd time seeing the show. I caught the bus from Coorparoo to the City, caught the 333 bus from the city to Chermside, rang Dad, had a look at Dymocks and walk to Kedron Wavell. Went to the Kitchen, had a look at menu, ordered my meal, bought coke with No Sugar and use my mobile. Had Spagetthi for lunch, drank Coke With No Sugar, ate Fundae, got new card as it was apparent that it had expired and did writing. Went to the Blue Pacific Room, bought Coke with No Sugar, did writing and use mobile. The show started after 3.05pm with the Oh What A Night tribute show coming out on stage which in the first set performed many of the Four Seasons hits from the 60's as well 2 of the Frankie Valli solo hits from the 70's including Grease and there was an interval where I drank Coke with No Sugar and ate chips. This is from the Sunday Sun August 6th 1972 and until 1992 when it became 4TAB now Radio TAB 4IP was one of Brisbane's very popular radio stations at the time in the 70's which they were based in Ipswich originally was the Ekka 1972 as radio stations back then use to do broadcasts at the Ekka which 4IP was one of them as they gave away free posters as well as entertainment which among the performers were Railroad Gin, Lindy Sommers Movement, 4IP Big Band with Kerri Anne Wright (Kennerley) and disc jockeys Pete Rudder and Geoff Mullins.
