4BC Top 30 charts August 1974

This is from the Telegraph August 16th 1974(50 Years Ago today) and this was the 4BC top 40 charts with The Rubettes at number 1 with Sugar Baby Love, Gordon Lightfoot at number 2 with Sundown, Abba at number 3with the song that won them Eurovision Waterloo and the New Seekers at number 4 with I Get A Little Sentimental. The new entries in the charts that week were The Hues Corporation at number 29 with Rock The Boat and the Bootleg Family at number 30 with the Shoop Shoop Song. Besides from the Bootleg Family the other Australian acts in the charts that week were Olivia Newton John at number 8 with Long Live Love, Stevie Wright at number 9 with the song written and produced by Harry Vanda and George Young Evie, Jimmy Little at number 10 with Baby Blue which was also shared with George Baker Selection, Judy Stones at number 12 with Would You Lay With Me, Sherbet at number 13 with Slipstream, the Bee Gees at number 14 with the title track from their album of that time Mr Natural, Helen Reddy at number 18 with You and Me Against The World, Digby Richards at number 19 with Do The Spunky Monkey and Cash Backman at number 28 with his version of the song My Girl Bill which was shared with Jim Stafford's version.
