The Silver Snarling Trumpet by Robert Hunter

In 1962 Robert Hunter an lyricist and future member of the iconic American rock band the Greatful Dead wrote about the scene in Palop Alto which it's in the San Francisco area as well as meeting future Greatful Dead founding member Jerry Garcia which they did their first gig together for a college audience as well as hanging around coffee shops, Keplers Books and many others and in 1982 Robert Hunter assessed his work which he shared it with close confidants but decided not to release it and after Hunter's passing in 2019 it was found 5 years later which it is out and also I have reviewed the paperback edition as it was just released recently. It is excellent, very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth a read. It's been 31 years since the end of the Greatful Dead after the passing of Jerry Garcia and 7 years since the passing of Robert Hunter but their work lives on and it's a must for fans of the Greatful Dead which I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops so please do yourselves a favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...
