1959 Rock and Roll Spectacular The Lost Film by Bob Hayden

This is the new book by Australian music writer Bob Hayden and in this book talks about the 1959 Australian tour of American teen idol Fabian, the making of the movie, the controversy and Distribution as it was shown in Newcastle, Melbourne and New Zealand, was deemed lost for nearly 60 years, how it was found in 2020, getting shown in 2021, 2023 and 2024and many others. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with great stuff as well as the information as the program and magazines of Fabian in Australia and many others and Bob always does an great job doing the books including this book as well as telling it how it happend as the Rock and Roll 1959 movie is the only live concert filmed in the 1950's exist which I hope it gets shown again in the future. this is an must for Australian music fans and I give it 5 stars as the only way you getthe book is to email Bob Hayden at elvis2594@gmail.com and you will get it so please do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

This is the book about 2 iconic Australian music shows that were on Channel 0 (now Channel 10)back in the 60's The Go Show on August 4th 1964 which lasted for 3 years and 222 episodes until September 17th 1967 and Kommotion hosted by Ken Sparkes was on from December 13th 1965 until September 28th 1967 after 356 episodes and in the book it has the info about both shows as well as episode guides as well the discography of both the Go label and the Kommotion label and the people who worked on Kommotion including Denise Drysdale and Molly Meldrum and many others including some memorabilla and photos of the artists.
