This is from the Telegraph October 18th 1974(50 Years ago today) and this was the 4BC Top 30 Charts with Paul Anka known for hits in the 50's and 60's including Diana at number 1 with You're Having My Baby, The Drifters at number 2 with the song written by Roger Greenaway and Tony Macaulay Kissin In The Back Row Of The Movies, Paper Lace at number 3 with the song written by Mitch Murray and Peter Callander The Night Chicago Died and William Shakespeare with the song written by Harry Vanda and George Young Can't Stop Myself From Loving You. The new entries in the charts that week were John Denver at number 28 with Back Home, Eric Clapton who had an new album coming out next year was at number 29 with I Shot the Sherrif which was an cover of the Bob Marley song and Andy Kim at number 30 with Rock Me Gently and besides from William Shakespeare the other Australian acts in the charts were Brisbane group Railroad Gin at number 12 with Do Ya Love Me/Academy Rock, Brian Cadd at number 13 with Let Go, Stevie Wright at number 15 with the song written by Harry Vanda and George Young Evie, Kamahl at number 20 with Our Love Song, Olivia Newton John is on the chart twice that week at number 21 eith the song written by Peter Allen and Jeff Barry I Love You I Honestly Love You and at number 26 with Long Live Love an song written by Valerie Avon and Harold Spiro and Sherbet at number 23 with Silvery Moon.
