Modern Sounds In Country and Western Music Volume 2 Ray Charles

In October 1962 iconic American soul singer Ray Charles released the album Modern Sounds In Country and Western Volume 2 which was the second volume of country and western recordings that he did as the first one was an huge success when it was released in April that year as it sold over 1 million copies and he and Sid Feller who produced the album decided to do an follow up and this was recorded at Capitol in New York City and United Western in Hollywood where the 1st Modern Sounds In Country and Western was recorded on September 5th and 7th 1962. the album went to number 2 in the USA and number 15 in the UK which on the album one side had the Raelettes and the second set had an string section and the Jack Halloran Singers and it had 5 hit singles including You Are My Sunshine, Take These Chains From My Heart and Your Cheating Heart. It is now out on CD which Tangerine the label that Ray Charles founded in the 60's has released and it has the original tracks on the album which besides from the hit singles it has tracks including Midnight an cover of the Red Foley 1952 single and the Don Gibson song Oh Lonesome Me. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTATSIC and BRILLIANT songs that has stood the test of time and still sounding great to this day as great music endures as you can never get tired of great music. It was 20 years ago in June this year when Ray Charles passed away and the great music he made lives on forever as it is still appreciated and will never die as there is interest in the music of the era that's the main thing. This is an must for Ray Charles fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
