The Australian and New Zealand acts in the charts that week were Peter Posa at number 7 with The White Rabbit, The Atlantics at number 8 with The Crusher which was the follow up to Bombora, Johnny Devlin at number 19 with Stomp The Tumbarumba which had the Bee Gees on backing vocals, Brisbane group the Pacifics at number 21 with Barracuda, Jimmy Little at number 22 with Royal Telephone, Dig Richards at number 23 with Comin Down and the Delltones at 32 with the song written by Sydney detective Ben Acton Hangin Five and among the other acts in the charts that week were Elvis Presley at number 5 with Bossa Nova Baby which was from the movie Fun in Acapulco, Cliff Richard at number 9 with the song he wrote with Bruce Welch from the Shadows Don't Talk To Him, The Beatles were at number 11 with I Want To Hold Your Hand, Chubby Checker at number 12 with Loddy Lo, Sheb Wooley who had been in Brisbane 3 weeks before at Festival Hall at number 15 with Hootenanny Hoot, Brian Poole and the Tremeloes at number 20 with their version of the Contours song Do You Love Me, Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs at number 27 with Sugar Shack, Roy Orbison at number 31 with the song written by Willie Nelson Pretty Paper and Lesley Gore at number 40 with She's A Fool.
