A Real Pain

This afternoon I went to the Dendy Cinema Coorparoo where I saw the movie A Real Pain. cousins David(Jesse Eisenberg) and Benji Kaplan(Kieran McCulkin) are going to Poland to see where their grandmother who has passed away came from which they joined up with an tourist group that includes Marcia (Jennifer Grey) that is led by James (Will Sharpe) and they go through different places in Poland as well as tension surfaces which gets interesting. It is FANTASTIC, Very Funny and very entertaining with excellent acting by Jesse Eisenberg who also directed it as well as wrote it and one of the producers, Kieran McCulkin, Jennifer Grey, Will Sharpe and Liza Sadovy and along with Jesse Eisenberg the other prodcuers were Emma Stone, Ewa Puszczynska, Jennifer Selmer, Ali Herting and Dave McCary. I am giving this 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

This is the book about 2 iconic Australian music shows that were on Channel 0 (now Channel 10)back in the 60's The Go Show on August 4th 1964 which lasted for 3 years and 222 episodes until September 17th 1967 and Kommotion hosted by Ken Sparkes was on from December 13th 1965 until September 28th 1967 after 356 episodes and in the book it has the info about both shows as well as episode guides as well the discography of both the Go label and the Kommotion label and the people who worked on Kommotion including Denise Drysdale and Molly Meldrum and many others including some memorabilla and photos of the artists. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME stuff and amazing information about the Go Show which just celebrated 60 years an month ago and Kommotion as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth an read.
