4BK Top 10 Charts December 1964
This is from the Telegraph December 16th 1964(60 Years ago today) and this was the 4BK top 10 charts with The Beatles at number 1 with I Feel Fine(one of the first early use of feedback heard on record)/She's A Woman, Elvis Presley at number 2 with Ask/Ain't That Loving You Baby, Jimmy Rodgers at number 3 with Someplace Green, Lorne Greene who was from the iconic American TV show Bonanza at number 4 with Ringo, Jay and the Americans at number with Come A Little Bit Closer, Moorooka boy Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs at number 6 with their version of the Fats Domino song Sick and Tired, The Searchers at number 7 with their version of the Jackie De Shannon song When You Walk In The Room which was the first recording with bass player Frank Allen who replaced original bass player and singer Tony Jackson, Cliff Richard who will be in Brisbane next year at number 8 with his version of the Johnny Mathis song The Twelfth Of Never, Lucky Starr at number 9 with The Three Trees and Julie Rogers at number 10 with The Wedding. Among the shows in Brisbane that day were at the Lands Office in the city with Olivier and Twist and Lindy Lou(Lyn Alvarez) and at National Hotel Australian singer Vicki Forrest with Princess Lani, Paul and Eric and Johnny Morris and the Playboys.
