Craig McLachlan at the Koala Tavern

Last night I went to the Koala Tavern to see legendary Australian actor and singer Craig McLachlan which it was my 1st time seeing him live as well as the 2nd time this year seeing someone from the TV show Neighbours live as well as the 3rd time altogether. Dad took me to the bus stop, caught the bus to Capalaba, walk to the Koala Tavern, went to the bistro where I had Steak, Chips and Salad for dinner as well as having an Chocolate Brownie for desert, watch the cricket, went inside, drank Coke with No Sugar and did writing. The show started at 8.30pm with Craig McLachlan on Acoustic Guitar and Dave on Percussion coming on stage which they did 2 sets telling stories about starting out playing music as well as the people who influenced Craig like Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones as well as bits of songs from musicials like Grease and Jesus Christ Superstar as well as his song from 1990 called Amanda and there was an interval where I had Coke with no Sugar and Pork Cackle. The Second Set started which Craig McLachlan and Dave came back on which Craig was telling more stories and doing songs including Boys Light Up by Australian Crawl as well as some songs he has written as well as telling more stories about his career about being in London in the 90's well as doing the Rocky Horror Picture Show as well as he did bits of the songs from the musicial as well as talking about his acting career including Neighbours and Dr Blake and also during the show talk about being in America as well as his encounter with Paul Stanley from KISS. The show finished at 10.54pm which he finished the show with his version of the Bo Diddley song Mona which was the hit in 1990 for Craig which he talked about the making of the video of the song and he came into the audience which he met the fans as well as having photos and I got an photo with Craig as well as getting an autograph which he was amazed to know that I remembered him on Neighbours and Home and Away as well as me being 46 when he asked me how old I was which he said I looked Fabulous and also talked about being on Neighbours and going to Home and Away which was the talk at the time, Dad picked me up and came home. It was an FANTASTIC show which Craig sounded great and playing great as well as very entertaining telling stories of his career which was great to hear as well as Dave was playing great on the percussion as well as singing one song during which he sounded great and also great sense of humour and it was an honour and thrill to see Craig live as meeting him in person as he was the second cast member of Neighbours I have met as Ally Fowler was the first at Kedron Wavell Saturday January 27th 2007 and also I look forward to see Craig live in the future which if you have not seen him live please do yourselves an favour and SEE HIM which you will be impressed and amazed as well as entertained by an legend of Australian entertainment who is an great performer and an very nice guy.
