Wicked

This afternoon I went to the Events Cinema to see musical Wicked. Galinda Upbrand(Ariana Grande) goes to the university called Shez where she shears an room with Elphaba Thorp (Cynthia Erivo) and the teacher Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) privately tutors Elphaba after witnessing an unintentional display of her magical abilties which Elphaba accepts it in hoping to the meet the Wizard of Oz mean while Eplhaba and Galinda clashed but then becmae friendly to each other and then she gets an message to go to Emerald City to meet the Wizard of OZ which Galinda who now changes her name to Glinda goes with her to Emerald City on the train where she meets the Wizard(Jegg Goldblum) and it gets interesting.It is Amazing, Brilliant and Superb with FANTASTIC music and FANTASTIC acting by Cynthia Erivo, Arian Grande, Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum who made his first film 50 years ago with Death Wish starring Charles Bronson and Hope Lange, Ethan Slater and Marissa Bode. it is directed by Jon M Chu and produced by Marc Platt and David Stone. It has earned 4 nominations for the Gold Globes and I hope it will be considered for the considered for the Oscars and also this is the 1st of an 2 part movie as the 2nd one due for release November 21st 2025. I am giving this 4 and an half stars and it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed as well as entertained as it will be worth be seeing for the family with the holiday season happening here in Australia.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

This is the book about 2 iconic Australian music shows that were on Channel 0 (now Channel 10)back in the 60's The Go Show on August 4th 1964 which lasted for 3 years and 222 episodes until September 17th 1967 and Kommotion hosted by Ken Sparkes was on from December 13th 1965 until September 28th 1967 after 356 episodes and in the book it has the info about both shows as well as episode guides as well the discography of both the Go label and the Kommotion label and the people who worked on Kommotion including Denise Drysdale and Molly Meldrum and many others including some memorabilla and photos of the artists. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME stuff and amazing information about the Go Show which just celebrated 60 years an month ago and Kommotion as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth an read.
