Crying Time Ray Charles

In February 1966 American soul singer Ray Charles released the album Crying Time which went to number 15 in the USA pop charts and number 1 in the USA R&B charts and it was the first album produced by Joe Adams who would also manage Ray Charles as well as being recorded at RPM International Studios in Los Angeles. From the album it had the hit singles the title track Crying Time which was an cover of the Buck Owens song, You're Just About To Lose Your Clown and Let's Go Get Stoned which was an cover of the Coasters song written by Nickolas Ashford, Valerie Simpson and Jo Armstead and it is now out on CD. On the CD which has the original tracks that was on the album and besides from the hit singles among the other songs were Going Down Slow which was an cover of the St Louis Jimmy Oden song as well as Drifting Blues an cover of the Johnny Moore's Three Blazers and an song Ray Charles wrote called Peace Of Mind and The Raelets are on the recording as well as Billy Preston playing organ on 2 songs and Donald Peake on guitar. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC songs that has stood the test of time and holds up very well to this day which still sounds great today as it did back then. it was 20 years ago in June when Ray Charles passed away but the great music he made lives on today and will forver be around as great music never dies it endures. This is an must for Ray Charles fans and I give it 4 and an half stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
