Country and Western Meets Rhythm and Blues Ray Charles
in 1965 American soul singer Ray Charles released the album Together Again aka Country and Western Meets Rhythm and Blues which went to number 116 in the USA pop charts and it was recorded at his own studio at RPM International Studio in Los Angeles which was produced by Sid Feller who had produced Ray's music since 1960 when he joined ABC Paramount as well as being his last album he produced as Joe Adams who would be his manager became the producer as well. The album is now out on CD and the tracks on it are the original tracks that was on the album including the title track which was originally an Buck Owens song as well as being the hit for Ray in 1966 going to number 19 in the USA pop charts, number 1 in the USA Adult Contemporary chart and number 10 in the USA R&B Charts, his verison of Blue Moon Of Kentucky, 3 more Buck Owens songs as well as an song Ray wrote called Please Forgive and Forget with the Raelets and The Jack Halloran Singers doing the backing with Bones Howe and Rudy Hill doing the engineering. It is FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with FANTASTIC songs which holds up very well today and still sounding great today as it did back then with great singing and playing. It was 20 years ago back in June when Ray Charles passed away but the great music he made lives on forever and it will never die as great music endures as well as being appreciated after all these years. This is an must for Ray Charles fans and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
