It was the last movie for Ronald Reagan as an actor before going into politics becoming Governor Of California from 1967-75 and the 40th President of the United States from 1981-89 and this was only movie that he ever played an villain in his career as an actor. It was directed by Don Seigel who also produced it and John Williams and Henry Mancini did the music which Nancy Wilson sang Too Little Time and also Lee Marvin won the Best Actor BAFTA award for this movie along with his dual roles in Cat Ballou.
