4BK Top 10 May 1966

This is from the Telegraph May 25th 1966 and this was the 4BK Top 10 with Bobby and Laurie at number 1 with their version of the Roger Miller song Hitch Hiker which 2 of the musicians playing on it went on to form iconic Australian band Daddy Cool Gary Young and Wayne Duncan as they were in the Rondells who backed up Bobby and Laurie at the time, The Throb at number 2 with their version of the Benny Spellman song Fortune Teller which also the Rolling Stones recorded an version of it in 1963 but was released as an single in Australia in the same year as the Throb, Bob Lind at number 3 with Elusive Butterfly, Nancy Sinatra at number 4 with These Boots Are Made For Walkin, The Beatles at number 5 with the double sided Nowhere Man/Norweigan Wood which was both from the Rubber Soul album, The Beach Boys at number 6 with their version of the traditional folk song Sloop John B which Beach Boys member Al Jardine suggested to Brian Wilson for the group to record the song, The Overlanders at number 7 with their version of the Beatles song Michelle, Normie Rowe at number 7 with his version of the Chuck Jackson song The Breaking Point, Peter and Gordon at number 9 with the song written by Bernard Webb aka Paul McCartney and The Walker Brothers at number 10 with their version of the Frankie Valli song The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore.
