4IP Top Charts May 1975

This is from the Telegraph May 22nd 1975 (50 Years Ago today) and this was the 4IP Top 40 charts with the British group Pilot at number 1 with January, Al Martino at number 2 with To The Door Of The Sun, Sherbet at number 3 with Summer Love and Frankie Valli at number 4 with My Eyes Adore You. The new entries in the charts that week were Labelle at number 31 with Lady Marmalade, Michael Murphy at number 36 with Wild Fire and Sweet at number 38 with Fox On The Run and besides from Sherbet the other Australian acts in the charts that week were Ross Ryan at number 12 with Blue Chevrolet Ballerina, Kevin Johnson at number 13 with 20th Century Man, Skyhooks at number 14 with the title track from their 2nd album Ego Is Not A Dirty Word, Allison McCallum at number 17 with Excuse Me, Olivia Newton John twice firstat number 25 with the song written by John Farrar from the Australian group the Strangers Have You never Been Mellow and at number 33 with the song written by the late John Rostill from the iconic British group the Shadows If You Love Me (Let Me Know), Bob Hudson at number 29 with the Newcastle Song, Johnny Chester at number 30 with Sally On Sunday, Graeme Connors at number 39 with Dakota and Richard Clapton at number 40 with Girls On the Avenue.
