Oh What A Beautiful World Willie Nelson

This is the new album by legendary American country singer Willie Nelson and this is an album of Rodney Crowell songs which includes Shame On the Moon which was an hit for Bob Seger in 1983 and Making Memories of Us which was to be an hit for Keith Urban in 2005 as well as the title track with Willie sings it with Rodney Crowell and also the musicians who played on it including Fred Eltringham on drums who is from the Wallflowers, Mickey Raphael on Harmonica who has played with Willie Nelson since 1973 and James Mitchell on electric guitar.It was recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville Tennessee and The B Room in Joelton Tennessee. It is an excellent album with FANTASTIC songs with great singing by Willie who is still sounding great at age 92 and it was produced by Buddy Cannon who also did backing vocals with Mark Rothbaum as exceutive producer. Willie is on tour doing shows in the US doing the Outlaw Fest with Bob Dylan, The Mavericks, Tami Nelson, Lucinda Williams, Wilco amongst others and this an must for Willie Nelson fans which I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
