Live At Anita's Ian Moss

This is the new live album by legendary Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist Ian Moss and this was recorded at Anitas Theatre in Thirroul NSW an year ago today May 17th 2024 during the Rivers Run Dry tour as he was promoting his lastest album which among the songs he performed that is on the album including his solo work with Tucker's Daughter and Telephone Booth as well as tracks from the Rivers Run Dry album as well as the Codl Chisel classics including Bow River and Flame Trees as well as an version of the Tom Jones 1966 hit Green Green Grass of Home as it's just Ian on acoustic guitar. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with the songs sounding FANTASTIC and AWESOME live with great playing by Ian which it is well worth listening to and Ian is currently on tour at the moment with an trio doing the One Guitar One Night only which he was in Brisbane last week at the Princess Theatre as well as will be playing the Rock The Boat cruise show in October as well as 2 New Zealand shows in November. This is an must for Ian Moss fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
