4BH Top 40 charts September 1963
This is from the Telegraph September 13th 1963 and this was the 4BH Top 40 charts with Allan Sherman at number 1 with Hello Muddah Hello Fadduh, The Atlantics at number 2 with Bombora, Wayne Newton at number 3 with Danke Schoen and Cliff Richard at number 4 with his version of the Ruth Brown song written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller Lucky Lips. The new entries in the charts that week were The Ran-Delles at number 23 with Martian Hop, Sandra Gould at number 28 with Hello Melvin(This Is Mother), The Town and Country Brothers at number 30 with Sandy Sandy and Randy and the Rainbows at number 36 with Denise which Blondie did a version of it in the late 70's and besides from the Atlantics the other Australian acts in the charts that week were Rob EG at number 5 with 55 Days at Peking, The Denvermen at number 6 with Avalon Stomp, Frank Ifield at number 32 with I'm Confessin and Johnny O'Keefe at number 38 with Move Baby Move. Among the shows in Brisbane that day were the Delltones at Birdland which was on Adelaide Street and Ross D Wyllie with the Kodiacs at Teensville in New Farm.
