Elvis An American Trilogy Show @ Kedron Wavell

On Sunday afternoon I went to Kedron Wavell to see the Elvis Presley tribute show Elvis An American Trilogy which it was my 3rd time seeing the show as the show this year had Louis Brown who was there last year, Arron Walker and Steve Michaels. I caught the Bus to the Gabba, caught bus to Chermside, went to Kedron Wavell, went to the Kitchen Restaurant where I had Chicken Inasale for lunch, drank Coke with No Sugar, ate Chocolate Banana Sundae, went up to the Blue Pacfic Room which I use my mobile. The show started after 2.10pm showing clips of Elvis from the 50's as well as before the show starting showing photos of Elvis over the years with Louis Brown coming on stage doing the 50's Elvis up to the Early 60's as well as doing the Robbie Williams song Angels with Mike an audience member as well Louis changed jackets a few times and then after Louis' set Aron Walker came on stage doing the songs from the Movie Period of Elvis which they showed clips from the movies and there was an interval which I bought Coke with No Sugar and saw Daryl and Elaine which I only saw them a month ago at Kedron Wavell when I saw Herman's Hermits. The second set started with Arron coming back on stage wearing the black leather great doing the Comeback Special Elvis did in 1968 performing a few songs which during Love Me Tender the ladies came up to the stage giving him a kiss and then Steve Michaels came on stage doing the Elvis From Aloha Show that Elvis did in 1973 which when he was doing Love Me he was giving out scarves to the audience coming to the stage with the help from Serena one of the backing singers and also towards the end of the show Louis, Arron and Steve sang one more Elvis song each. The show finished 4.40pm, Louis, Arron and Steve came out to meet the fans as well as getting photos with them including myself, walk to the bus stop, caught bus to the Gabba, caught bus to Carindale, went to the Carindale Hotel where I had Chicken Parmy, Chips and Salad for dinner, drank Coke with No Sugar, Dad picked me up and came home. It was an FANTASTIC and AWESOME show as well as very entertaining with Louis, Arron and Steve did FANTASTIC sets doing the Elvis songs which the audiences were going wild and were having an great time as well as doing the songs so well with the back up band were FANTASTIC too with the backing singers Anita and Serena sounding so great doing the backing vocals just brilliantly and also I hope they come back again next year which they are the best Elvis tribute shows as well as if you have not seen them please do yourselves an favour and SEE THEM which you will be impressed and amazed. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

Memoirs of A Piano Man by John Charter

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
