Once Upon A Time In California by Belinda Carlisle

This is the new album by legendary American singer Belinda Carlisle and this was recorded at Deaver Studios in Los Angeles which the songs on the album are covers of classic songs from the 60's and 70's including Anyone Who Had A Heart originally done by Dionne Warwick then covered by Cilla Black, One by Three Dog Night which was covered by our own John(then Johnny) Farnham, The Air That I Breath which was the hit for the Hollies, If You Could Read My Mind the Gordon Lightfoot song and others. It is an FANTASTIC album with FANTASTIC songs with great singing by Belinda who is still sounding great at age 67 sounding better than ever and does those songs her way which she does it so very well. It went to number 45 in Australia, number 57 in the UK and number 88 in Switzerland and was produced by Gabe Lopez who also plays on it as well as backing vocals. Belinda has just toured Europe and is touring the UK next year with Take That and The Script and she said that she'll be touring Australia in 2027 in a recent interview. This is an must for Belinda Carlisle fans and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

Memoirs of A Piano Man by John Charter

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
