Renee Geyer

In 1973 Australian singer Renee Geyer who had been with the band Sun who had 1 album released the year before with Sun 1972 released her debut solo album which the self titled album in September 1973 but it did not chart and she was backed up by the band Mother Earth which including Harry Brus on bass and Russell Dunlop on drums which it was recorded at ATA Studios Sydney that was owned by Australian music legend Col Joye and among the tracks were versions of Do Right Woman Do Right Man, Moondance, Just Like A Woman and Lean On Me and it is now out on CD finally through Aztec Records. Besides from the original album tracks it has bonus tracks which there is 6 that was from the ABC Music Show GTK from 1973-74 and it was versions of songs including Respect and Ain't No Sunshine. It is an FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT album with FANTASTIC songs which sounds so great and it holds up very well as the sound quality is just FANTASTIC as Aztec Records have done an FANTASTIC job putting it together with Ian McFarlane doing the liner notes. It has been 2 years since Renee Geyer has passed away but the great music she made lives on forever and this is a must for Renee Geyer fans which I give it 4 and an half stars as you can order it online at aztecrecords.com.au so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
