This is from the Telegraph December 19th 1974 and this was the 4IP Top 40 charts with Olivia Newton John at number 1 with the song written by Peter Allen and Jeff Barry with John Farrar from the Australian group The Strangers producing it I Love You I Honestly Love You, Glen Campbell at number 2 with Bonarparte's Retreat which was a cover of the Pee Wee King song from 1950, John Denver at number 3 with Back Home Again and Bobby Russell at number 4 with Go Chase Your Rainbow. The new entries in the charts that week were Daryl Braithwaite who was with Sherbet at the time was at number 25 with his debut solo single You're My World which was a cover of the 1964 hit for Cilla Black, Elvis Presley at number 35 with his version of the Chuck Berry song Promised Land, Brian May Orchestra at number 36 with the Theme From Rush which was the Australian TV show on the ABC and Leo Sayer at number 40 with Long Tall Glasses and besides from Olivia Newton John, Daryl Braithwaite and Brian May Orchestra the other Australian acts in the charts that week The Moir Sisters at 5 with Good Morning How Are You, Jigsaw at number 8 with A Rose Has To Die, William Shakespeare at number 19 with Can't Stop Myself From Loving You which was written by Harry Vanda and George Young and number 34 with the song also written by Harry Vanda and George Young My Little Angel, Sherbet at number 23 with Silvery Moon, Helen Reddy at number 31 with Angie Baby written by Alan O'Day and Brian Cadd at number 37 with Let Go.
