Countdown Complete Episode Guide by Brett Leslie and Milton Hammon

This is the book about the iconic Australian music show on the ABC Countdown which was on from November 8th 1974 until July 19th 1987 and 563 epsodes and it has the episode guide from 1974 until 1987 as well as photos of the acts who appeared on the show as well as memories by the performers who appeared on the show as well as info about the episodes that are missing as well as recoveries of Countdown footage as well as memorabilia including running sheets as well as talking about Molly Meldrum and many others. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME Stuff as well as amazing info which it is well worth and Brett Leslie and Milton Hammon who are TV archivists have done an FANTASTIC and an AWESOME job putting it together. It is 51 years when Countdown started as well as 38 years since it ended but it still remembered after all these years and it is among the great Australian music shows along with Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock as the Countdown episodes are seen during the Retro Season on Rage in February. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

Memoirs of A Piano Man by John Charter

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
