4BH Top 40 charts March 1968
This is from the Telegraph March 29th 1968 and this was the 4BH Top 40 charts with Eric Burdon and the Animals at number 1 with Sky Pilot, Paul Mauriat at number 2 with Love Is Blue, The Groove at number 3 with their version of the Sam and Dave song Soothe Me and Engelbert Humperdinck at number 4 with Am I That Easy To Forget. Besides from the Groove the other Australian and New Zealand acts in the charts that week were Maria Dallas at number 24 with You DOn't Treat me Right/It's Such A Pretty World Today, The Bee Gees from Redcliffe at number 25 with Words, Brisbane boy Jon Blanchfield, The Masters Apprentices at number 27 with the song written by Brian Cadd who was with the Groop at the time Elevator Driver which was originally called Silver People, John (Johnny ) Farnham in the twice first with Sadie at number 29 and Underneath the Arches/Friday Kind of Monday at number 29, Ronnie Burns at number 30 with the song also written by Brian Cadd When I Was 6 Years Old, Bev Harrell at number 32 with One In A Million, the Groop at number 35 with Lovin Tree, Anne and Johnny Hawker at number 36 with Cinderella Rockfella and Normie Rowe at number 40 with Penelope written by Brian Peacock who had played with Normie in the Playboys and was in Procession at the time.
