What Happened To Your Hair by Matthew and Gunnar Nelson

This is the joint autobiography of American singers Matthew and Gunnar Nelson of the duo Nelson and in the book they talk about their upbringing in Los Angeles, getting instruments when they were 6, their parents Ricky nelson and Kristin Harmon's divorce in the early 80's, playing in the Strange Agents, the loss of their father in a plane crash December 31st 1985, forming the band Nelson who would achieve great success with the singles (Can't Live Without Your Love) Love and Affection, After The Rain and More Than Ever, their relations the Nelsons and the Harmons including actor Mark Harmon, launching the Stone Canyon Records label, encounters with George Harrison, Colonel Tom Parker, David Crosby, John Boylan, Timothy B Schmidt and many others. It is AWESOME, AMAZING and SUPERB with BRILLIANT and FANTASTIC stories as well as very impressive and very entertaining and also enjoyable which it is well worth a read. Matthew and Gunnar are still performing around the USA doing their show as well as an tribute show to their father Ricky Nelson Remembered which I hope someone brings them to Australia in the future and this is a must for Nelson fans as well as 90's music fans which I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves a favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...
