This is from the Telegraph March 25th 1969 and now the talk back station as it is the only commercial one here in Brisbane 4BC was one of Brisbane's popular music radio stations at the time in the late 60's which besides from being a music station it promoted events including Sunday Funday at Bundaleer in Brookfield with the 4BC Radio personalities including Johnny James, Mike Ahern and Graeme Smith and the acts on the bill were Johnny O'Keefe, The Groop, Jonne Sands, Jeff Phillips, The Iguana, Bev Harrell, Jon Blanchfield, Chris Kite, The Hands Down, The Escorts and Ron Rico as well as other entertainment including Fashion Parade and and Miss 11-20 Quest.
Hermans Hermits Australian Tour 2025
In August and September 2025 legendary British rock group Hermans Hermits are touring Australia which they will be performing in Queensland, NSW, ACT, Western Australia and Victoria and the group with original member and drummer Barry Whitwam, Jamie Thurston on bass guitar and vocals, John Summerton on guitar and vocals and Tony Young on Keyboards and vocals will perform many of their classic hits from the 60's including I'm Into Something Good, Mrs Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter, No Milk Today, There's A Kind Of Hush, My Sentimental Friend and many others.
