Our Secrets Are The Same by Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill

This is the joint autobiography of 2 of the founding members of the legendary Scottish rock band Simple Minds Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill and in the book they talk about their upbringings in Scotland, first meeting in 1967, Jim getting his first guitar as well as playing in Biba Rom, both seeing live music, playing in Johnny and the Self Abusers which they had 1 single, forming Simple Minds in 1977 who would achieve great success with hit albums including Life In A Day, New Gold Dream(81 82 83 84) and Once Upon A Time as well as having hit singles including Glittering Prize, Up On The Catwalk, Don't You(Forget About Me) and Belfast Child , Jim's marriages to Chrissie Hynde from the Pretenders and actress Patty Kensit both ended in divorce, encounters with Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, David Bowie and many others. It is FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with AMAZING stories as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth a read. Jim and Charlie are still in Simple Minds and this is a must for Simple Minds fans which I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves a favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...
