If Only You Knew by Lulu
This is the memoir of Scottish singer Lulu and in the book she talks about her upbringing in Glasgow, started singing at age 9, performed with the Bellrocks and The Gleneagles, began recording for Decca which she had her first with Shout in 1964 as well as Leave A Little Love and Try To Understand, doing the movie To Sir With Love which she recorded the theme song as she was recording for EMI as well as having more hits including The Boat That I Row, Boom Bang a Bang and Oh Me Oh My, doing her TV shows including Happening to Lulu, her 2 marriages to Maurice Gibb and John Frieda, working with Mickie Most, The Hollies, Jimi Hendrix, Sidney Poiter, Jerry Wexler, Ronan Keating and many others. It is FANTASTIC and AMAZING with FANTASTIC stories as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it's well worth a read. Lulu has UK shows coming up in May, June and July and this is a must for 60's music fans as well as fans of Lulu and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves a favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
