Reckless by Jeff Apter

This is the biography of legendary Australian rock band Australian Crawl written by Jeff Apter and in the book talks the members' different backgrounds, the formation of Australian Crawl in 1978, began recording for EMI which they would achieve great success with classics including Beautiful People, Downhearted, Boys Light Up, Errol, Reckless as well as albums including the Boys Light Up, Sirocco and Sons of Beaches, touring Australia as well as trying to crack America, the passing of Guy McDonough in 1984, the break up in 1986 and many others. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT stories as well as sad, very impressive and very entertaining and it is well worth a read. Jeff Apter who has written books about George, Angus and Malcolm Young(AC/DC), Carl Perkins, The Finn Brothers as well as co written autobiographies of Kasey Chambers, Mark Evans from AC/DC and Richard Clapton has done an FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT job doing this book and 3 of the surviving members of Australian Crawl Simon Binks, Bill McDonough and Paul Williams were interviewed which was great to see what they had to say about those years. This year Australian Crawl with James Reyne, Simon Binks and David Reyne (James' brother as well as a member of the Chantoozies) are back together touring Australia for the Red Hot Summer Tour which will include Queensland shows at Coolangatta and Sandstone and it is great to back to see them back together considering Guy McDonough and Brad Robinson passed away in 1984 and 1996 but the great music endures and please don't miss the opportunity to see them live as well as let's hope for Australian Crawl music come out on CD and even a documentary which would be interesting. This is a must for fans of Australian Crawl and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so please do yoruselves a favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
