Tina Arena Unravel Me

This afternoon I went to the Events Cinema to see the documentary about Australian singer Tina Arena called Unravel Me and in it she talks about her life including her starting singing at a young age, doing Young Talent Time, going through the transition after Young Talent Time, starting recording, achieving success with hits I Need Your Body and Strong As Steel, going to greater success with the albums Don't Ask and Burn in the 90's as well as the issues she was going through as well as living in France and it has interviews with her sisters Nancy and Silvana, Johnny Young in one of his last interviews as he just passed away 2 weeks ago, Ronan Keating, John Watson, The Veronicas, Jessica Mauboy and many others. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC interviews and amazing stories which Tina tells it very honestly and it also very entertaining which it is well worth watching. It was directed by Adrian Russell Willis and the executive producer was Mark Fennessey and also it is dedicated to the memory of Johnny Young which they show that at the start of the documentary. It's a must for Tina Arena fans as well as Australian music fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the cinemas now so please do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed. Please support Australian cinema and Australian music.

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...
